The uppers are constructed from a single piece of Waxy Commander suede produced by British tannery Charles F. Stead & Co. – a name synonymous with the finest leathers since 1900. Using bovine hide. the suede shrinks up to 25% during the unique CFS technique. The hide is tanned without any pigment – the same way all C.F. Stead leathers are tanned – with natural waxes applied to give the suede a waterproof finish.
Viberg boots are made for a lifetime of wear. so a sole which can be repaired. removed and replaced is paramount to ensure that daily wear doesn't cut that experience short. A French leather sole is attached to the uppers using a natural split welt which ensures serviceability. The English-made Commando rubber outsole is incredibly durable. providing fantastic traction over undulating surfaces for years to come.
